Garage Door Corporation has received price increase notices from several of its suppliers. Amarr an Entrematic company has announced a significant price increase effective 01/26/2015. Amarr's price Increase is 3.0% on all residential and commercial sectional garage doors and parts.This means any special order placed after the first week of January 2015 or stock garage door order not picked up by 01/26/2015 will be subject to the higher Amarr’s last increase was 3.8% effective 01/27/2014. Clopay has announced a significant price increase of 3.0% on all garage door products effective 02/02/2015. Classic series wood doors will increase 6 to 13%. Canyon Ridge ultra-grain series will increase 7%. Clopay's last increase was 2.8% effective 02/03/2014.Unlike Amarr, Clopay will honor existing pricing for orders in their system by the date of the increase 02/02/2015. These vendors are citing material costs, especially steel, increased wage costs, the annual cost increases associated with running a business, and the Affordable Health Care Act as the reason to need the price increase. We will honor proposals written prior to the manufacturers price increase for the time indicated at the bottom of the proposal (usually 45 days).
