Excellent, when I spoke with the owner I explained the problem. He gave me an approximation of the cost. Next day called me on time, came totally prepared and was able to do the work on the spot in 45 minutes.
We had another company come out and say our garage door could not be repaired. Garage Door Corp was able to fix the door so we didn’t have to replace it and it was running more smoothly than before it broke.
I called Tuesday am to set up an installation. Phone call went very well, we discussed options and I decided to purchase a new opener-my old opener was 22 years old. Appointment was scheduled for Thursday 8:30. Technician called at 8:00 to say he was on his way about 30 minutes away. He arrived on time. Paul was very professional. He installed the new opener and hauled away all the parts of the old opener. The opener runs smoothly. I’m very happy and definitely recommend using Garage Door Corp!
With the cold weather we had at the beginning of January, our garage door stopped working correctly. Instead of closing, the garage door would close and then open. To deal with this, we spent a week or so closing the door by hitting the remote twice, leaving the door open a few inches at the bottom. When the weather got a little warmer, I investigated and tried to reset the remote control, with no luck. Later that day, the garage door wouldn't open at all and it turned out that the chain and the cable had snapped. Perhaps all the cold and the tension on them were the last straw. I picked Garage Door Corp. from Angie's List, partly because they are local and partly because of their good reviews. They sent someone out - he was punctual - and at first he said we'd need just a minor repair, which would cost about $140. After a little more investigation, though, he said that we'd need an entirely new garage door. I wasn't completely surprised, but no one likes going from a small repair to a large one. Since we didn't want to spend more time on this repair, getting more quotes, we just agreed to the new door. The repair took a few hours on a Saturday morning and cost $1360. The new door looks good and the mechanism is much quieter than the old door. While we didn't want to do this repair, it seems like the money was well spent.
