These people are THE BEST. Happiest I've been about a service/price in my entire adult life (I'm 42.) Nobody ever seems to be able to give convenience, quality, and a great price. Sometimes you get 2 of the 3.
I can't say enough good about using these guys. I'm more than happy to do an unsolicited Yelp review for them.
I had springs break in my garage in Lincoln Park (a common problem) and, after getting 3 other estimates I wasn't thrilled about (from Yelp), Garage Door Corp were LESS THAN HALF the price of the others.
I felt like an idiot, but I actually had to ask the main guy, Brad, that that was a good price because it was "too low." I didn't feel like going through the headache of "they quoted me X, but it ended up being 3X because I didn't describe the problem properly." He told me that that price was good. They came shortly after, when they said they would, and the job was done perfectly in less than an hour. I was totally pumped. 50 stars!

DON'T CALL ANYONE ELSE!
I asked for 3 quotes over yelp and 2 replied.
Brad, owner of Garage Door Corporation, made an appoint with me. I asked that he come as early as possible, and he contacted me early and arrived 30 minutes ahead of time, I was thrilled.
He was knowledgeable and went right to work reinforcing my crappy garage door, explained that the repair might not be permanent and gave me a price of $1250 to replace the door later. He also knew about my door button problem, replaced my button and helped me program the new one. He quoted me $160 for the repair, and was right on target.
Bead was professional, worked quickly and was super nice. A plus!
We discussed at length hiring employees (I also manage a business) and I am sure all of his employees are as great as he is.
When I need to replace my door, Brad will be the only guy I call.
(The first person who came (from another company) told me the door could not be repaired, gave me a verbal quote of $1400-$1800 and tried to charge me $45 until I showed him my email communication with the Yelp account holder. I also have a broken door button which connects my door to an app which he said my model door opener would not work with. It had been working for over a year and a half. He left and didn't even reattach my door to the opener.)

Called GDC 8:30am on Saturday, August 11th and Eric showed up that afternoon and took care of replacing the broken spring and installing a brace that should have been installed 18 years ago! GDC was easy to get a hold of and did the work for the exact price quoted on their website! Definitely will use them again if needed and would highly recommend them!

Very happy with Garage Door Corp. It was easy to schedule an appointment for routine maintenance. Brad contacted me just before his arrival, checked everything out, and took care of a loud noise the door was making when opening and closing. He also did a quick assessment of the door opener, which is over 20 years old but still working, so he did not recommend replacing it till it stops working. Overall I was happy with the service and the price.

Brad from Garage Door Corporation did a great job replacing my garage door opener. He showed up on time, installed it very efficiently, and ensured everything was set up and working properly before he left. Brad explained everything in a clear manner. The fee was quite reasonable and he even saved me some money by identifying a part I didn't need.
