LIftmaster 377LM keyless entry discontinued 06/01/2016

Garage Door Corporation has been advised that the Liftmater (by Chamberlain) model 377LM wireless keyless entry has been discontinued as of 06/01/2016. This information came in a product bulletin # P2016-10 dated 06/13/2016. The 377LM keyless works on rolling code Chamberlain manufactured (includes Chamberlain, LiftMaster, and Craftsman) garge door and gate openers with a purple smart button   Details from the bulletin are:

"As we continue to respond to Customer requests for reduced SKUs, we are pleased to announce the discontinuance of our 377LM keypad effective June 1, 2016. With Security+ 2.0® technology in the majority of our products we’ve eliminated the need for you to inventory the 377LM keypad. The LiftMaster® model 877MAX wireless keypad is a perfect replacement for all Security+ products that you have in the marketplace. With backwards compatibility, our MAX products work seamlessly with all garage door openers and commercial operators manufactured by LiftMaster since 1993. In addition, another option to use in lieu of the 377LM is always our Universal Wireless Keypad, model 387LM. If you have a unique need or have questions, please contact Customer Service or your LiftMaster Sales Representative. We thank you for your support of the LiftMaster brand of garage door openers and accessories."

Garege Door Corporation still has some inventory of the 377LM and suggests the 877MAX as the replacement once existing stock is depleted. The 877MAX is preferred by most homeowners since it has a flip out cover (instead of sliding up with the possibility of falling off), and because it has an ENTER button which the 387LM does not. We find that homeowners are less likely to accidently change programming on the 877MAX than with the 387LM.

Garage Door Corporation serves the N/NW Chicago and suburban areas and is a LiftMaster authorized dealer.
