Garage Door Co Repair Pros found out on 05/02/2013 that there was a production problem with Amarr dark woodgrain garage doors. Yesterday Amarr corporate made it official when they sent a dealer memo which said:
Due to steel coil color consistency issues in some steel coils, we are experiencing backorders on Stratford 3000 and Oak Summit 3000 Dark Woodgrain sections. We are working with our vendor to resolve the issue and expect to have correct material by May 17th.
It was surprising that Amarr would take more than 10 days to alert dealers of the problem and delay. The distribution center managers were advised of the problem and that is how we first learned of the issue. It would have been better for corporate, who has usually been very good with communications to its Authorized Amarr Dealers, had been a bit more forthcoming with this information.
Other Amarr garage door models and colors are not affected by this issue.
